I was downloading materials for my next project I’m preparing for, setting up a mirror of a Linux repository. The idea is that long-term, updates would be faster, and I wouldn’t have to download copies of the same packages over and over again from the internet directly. Well, I hit my datacap for the month, and the download is incomplete. It’s putting a pause on that project, but thankfully I still have enough materials to work on other projects.
Since I have hit my data cap, there will be no new tutorial this month, I’ll have to save it for next month ( which thankfully is only a week away ). I could get the data cap removed, but I can’t quite swing the extra $50/month to Comcast in my current economic situation. I’ve had a lot of unforeseen expenses. I’m almost out from under the weight of never-ending debt, and my expenses will decrease soon. Once that happens, I’ll make the necessary arrangements.
The main purpose of this post is to let you all know that I have not forgotten about this project, and I am still working hard on putting things together. I want to make sure everything is simple and easy to understand. I want to do the best job that I can, and hopefully it will show in the results. In the mean time, thank you for your patience as I continue to move forward, even if it’s at a slower pace than I had originally intended.
